THE QUEENS GREEN CANOPY
Late May saw the ceremony to celebrate the planting of 41 trees at Arley as part of The Queen’s Green Canopy, trees which are dedicated to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Launched in late 2021 the project was set up by the late Queen to encourage everyone to plant a tree for the Platinum Jubilee. It was intended to run for just 1 year, however following the sad passing of Queen Elizabeth, His Majesty King Charles III extended the project until the end of March 2023 and the project has now seen the planting of over 3 million trees across the UK.
