The Garden Festival is firmly established as one of the foremost events in the horticultural calendar of the Northwest. Ours is a show which regularly attracts around 5,000 visitors with a gardening interest (and those looking for a fun family day out!). We’re growing year on year and would love you to be part of our event with a Creative Corner garden design.

Already registered and planning the design for their Creative Corner is Primrose Hill Nursery, Harry Dean Landscape Design, Heritage Seeds, Reaseheath College, Laura Turner Gardens, The Secret Gardeners, Synergyscape, Arley Plant Nursery & Arley Hall & Gardens.

The judging will take place on Friday 27th June at midday, and we are delighted to announce that Paul Cook, Curator at RHS Harlow Carr, in Yorkshire will be our judge, supporting Paul will be Callum Corrie, RHS Tatton Gold medallist for a Long Border in 2023 and young designer in 2024 (as well as a 2 times GPW British Champion wrestler, who is the longest ever T.I.W Champion (1008 days)!) you may have seen coverage last year on Gardener’s World.

Paul trained at the Royal Botanic Garden Kew. During this time he was awarded travel scholarships to work at the RBG Edinburgh and in 1987 to spend four weeks exploring the Dolomites tracking the travels made by Reginald Farrer an exceptional traveller and plant collector.

After Kew Paul worked as Head Gardener at Arley Hall & Gardens before taking over as Curator at Ness Botanical Gardens so we are delighted to welcome him back.

Paul brings a wealth of experience in planting and garden design and is well placed to judge all our categories.

Please read our invitation letter below for full details of this new part of our show!

IMPORTANT FACTS
As event organisers we know the importance of getting the right balance of everyone at the show, and as such, given the footfall we expect, we make sure that we don’t over book traders selling the same product. As a point of reference we have many traders who return year on year to the show.

As part of the event you can expect us to be promoting it via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, adverts in local newspapers and publications as well as regular newsletters to our list of over 9000 emails. We also print and distribute 10,000 flyers as well as road signage closer to the event.
